Minister of Music/Musician at Dayspring Community Church

Description
A Greenbelt/Lanham area Christian church is in prayer for a minister of music (MOM), who loves the Lord and loves God's people, to lead worship and play for a and grow 6-member praise team that sings primarily contemporary gospel music, along with some hymns. Services are lively, spirit-filled, and interactive and are held Sundays at 10 a.m. The MOM will play three Sundays/month (and 5th Sundays) with a weekly rehearsal prior to each service. Participation in occasional special services is also expected. The Minister of Music will have the opportunity to develop other choirs/praise teams and to creatively develop musical opportunities in the church. Pay is generous and negotiable.

Specific Skills Needed
The applicant should possess the following skills, characteristics, and interests:

·         Ability to skillfully play keyboard

·         Adaptability to include various Christ-centered music genres (praise, hymns, gospel)

·         Genuine love of God and God’s people and music

·         Flexibility and appreciation for creativity in worship

·         Ability to work well with others

·         Interest in growing the music ministry

 

Negotiable, generous, based on experience.
