Dayspring Community Church has named Cynthia Trudel Bennett senior pastor.
Previously, Bennett served as the church's executive pastor. Events marking
Bennett's installation include a formal banquet at 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Sheraton
College Park, 4095 Powder Mill Rd., Beltsville; a special worship service at 10 a.m.
on Oct. 16 at Robert Goddard Montessori School, 9850 Goodluck Rd., Seabrook;
and a service at 6 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Israel Baptist Church, 1251 Saratoga Ave. NE
in the District.

Bennett is a doctoral student at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
She received a divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington
and a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and English from the University of
Maryland.
